Pantheon Series
The Pantheon Series depicts influential writers consigned to the archives, exploring the relationship between legacy and fragility, especially in the context of art. Created with oil, tissue paper, glue, and occasionally wax, the portraits revel in their corporeal vulnerability.
With the possibility that certain aspects of their faces may degrade over time, the series juxtaposes the fallible with the infallible, presenting subjects that are fixed forever in the opulent dust of their own shadows.
For reference, these photographs were taken roughly one year after completion.
